FIVE Challenge: Most Anticipated Titles of 2011

The Persnickety Snark started a blog challenge focusing on different “greats” in Y.A called “The Persnickety Snark FIVE challenge.”   Today’s challenge focuses on five books I’m really looking forward to reading in 2011.

What are you excited to read in 2011??

What Happened to Goodbye Sarah Dessen is one of my absolute favorite authors.  I’ve read all of her books, and they’re very popular with my students.  It’s been too long of a wait since Along for the Ride came out, especially since I was ready for the next book as soon as I finished Along for the Ride 🙂

Divergent by Veronica Roth I’m a big fan of dystopian novels, and this one sounds promising.  To top things off, I’ve already been hearing great reviews from lucky readers.  Plus, this is Veronica Roth’s debut novel which makes the idea of reading it even more exciting.

Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins Le sigh.  I still have to wait a few months for this to release.  I couldn’t get enough of Hex Hall; I was enjoying it from the first few pages.  I’m going to buy this as soon as it releases.

City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare Is there a better series out right now?!  The Mortal Instruments is in my top 5 favorite series, period.  Don’t get me wrong, I really liked Clockwork Angel, but you can’t beat the love, action and humor in the world of Clary, Jace and Simon.  I can’t wait much longer to read this one!

Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer Whoa!  I read Nightshade and immediately fell in love.  The covers for both books are gorgeous, the love triangle between Calla, Ren and Shay is steamy, and Andrea’s writing simply rocks.  Is it July yet?

I love comments!
