Girls Read: Best of 2010

A couple weeks ago I blogged about the top 15 books borrowed by boys from my classroom library.  I forgot my sign-out information over break, so I’m just now putting together the information about the most popular books with my girls.  I narrowed this down to the top 10 books borrowed, starting with the most popular.

Teachers & librarians– Which books were popular with your girls?

Girls– Did any of your favorites make the list?

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

Living Dead Girl by Elizabeth Scott

Wake by Lisa McMann

Forever by Judy Blume

Hold Still by Nina LaCour

Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler

Party by Tom Leveen

The DUFF by Kody Keplinger

Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick

Impulse by Ellen Hopkins

  1. I need to do this with my students and what books they’ve checked out. I am wondering how you introduced your blog to your students? My students constantly put me down for being an avid reader (isn’t that depressing?) and I don’t know how to make reading “cool”. Also, how do you keep track of which student “checks out” a book from the classroom? My system is faulty – I lost four books last semester.

I’d really appreciate some help! missremmers at gmail dot com

I love comments!
