The Book of Tomorrow Giveaway!

Harper, and imprint of HarperCollins, is oh-so-generously providing me with two copies of The Book of Tomorrow by Cecelia Ahern for a giveaway! 😀  They sent me an ARC of this lovely book in December, and it is wonderful!  Thank you, Harper!!

Summary (From Cecelia Ahern’s website): Tamara Goodwin has always got everything she’s ever wanted. Born into a family of wealth, she grew up in a mansion with its own private beach, a wardrobe full of designer clothes, and a large four poster bed complete with a luxurious bathroom en-suite. She’s always lived in the here and now, never giving a second thought to tomorrow.

But then suddenly her dad is gone and life for Tamara and her mother changes forever. Left with a mountain of debt, they have no choice but to sell everything they own and move to the country to live with Tamara’s Uncle and Aunt. Nestled next to Kilsaney Castle, their gate house is a world away from Tamara’s childhood. With her Mother shut away with grief, and her Aunt busy tending to her, Tamara is lonely and bored and longs to return to Dublin.

When a travelling library passes through Kilsaney Demesne, Tamara is intrigued. She needs a distraction. Her eyes rest on a mysterious large leather bound tome locked with a gold clasp and padlock. With some help, Tamara finally manages to open the book. What she discovers within the pages takes her breath away and shakes her world to its core.

  2. What an intriguing book and question! It is
difficult for me to pin down just one thing I
would want my book of tomorrow to tell me…
I have two wonderful sons and I would want
to know they would have long and mostly happy
lives. One has to have hardships to bear and
make oneself a hopefully stronger and better
person. I have told them that one of the most
important things in life is too be good human
    beings. Many thanks, Cindi

  3. The book tells the future? I’d want it to tell me that I’m going to be an award winning author 😀

  4. Elizabeth Morgan says:

I’d want to know how my family would change over my life time.

  5. Honestly, I think I could handle whatever happens to me, it’s my kids that I would want to make sure are OK. I have a son with depression and I would want to know that he has a happy and productive life. That my other kids find much happiness. I guess happiness is what I would want the future to be about.

  7. Hmmm… I’m not exactly sure what I would want my book of tomorrow to tell me, because I think part of the experience of life is not knowing what’s around the bend. That’s what’s exciting about it. But, for the sake the question I want to know if I’ll ever get married again, and to who LOL….

Please enter me in the giveaway.

  8. If I had a book of tomorrow I would like it to tell me if I get past high school to go to college and making it or end up staying were I am

  9. I would like my book of tomorrow to tell me that everything will be ok in the end. That tomorrow will be brighter and happier and more fantastic, full of laughter. ♥

    • I would want my book of tomorrow to tell me that I will continue to recover and stay healthy for the rest of my life, and will live a life of love and happiness and joy after years of struggling. 🙂

  10. Totally love YA books

  11. Wow. I wanna read this book and i would like my book of tomorrow to tell me if nursing is right for me. 🙂

  12. Not sure if this is just for your students…

I would want my book of tomorrow to tell me that all of the students who have been in my drop-out prevention program over the past four years graduated from high school!

    • Mrs. Andersen says:

That’s a great wish for your book of tomorrow! And no, it’s not just for my students 🙂 I don’t even think any of them entered!
