In My Mailbox (12)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme sponsored by The Story Siren.  It’s a way for bloggers to share what books they’ve received for review, borrowed from the library, or bought from the store.

Received for Students Want to Know: Carole Estby Dagg, debut author of The Year We Were Famous signed up to be interviewed by my students for my Students Want to Know feature.  She is wonderful and sent my kids a bunch of signed bookmarks, a few postcards and wrote us a nice note 🙂  Thank you, Carole!!  Our interview with her is scheduled for April 18th.

Bought (I’m addicted to buying books!): I read Courtney Summer’s Fall for Anything and absolutely fell in love with that book, so I bought her other two books Cracked Up to Be and Some Girls Are.  I can’t wait to read them!  Kelly from the blog Stacked recommended reading some of Blake Nelson’s books.  I could only find Paranoid Park at my bookstores, so I bought it.  I finished it yesterday (my review will post tomorrow) and I plan on ordering more of his books.  My guys in class will enjoy this one and I suspect the rest of his books as well.

What did you get this week? 🙂

  1. You’ve made some good life choices this week — Courtney’s books and Blake’s books are in my top-of-the-top, go-to list.

Both refuse to flinch, but they don’t do it to be over-the-top, which is why I appreciate it so much.

Can’t wait for your thoughts on them.

  2. Courtney Summers is amazing! I hope you enjoy her books 🙂

  3. You got some interesting books! I liked Fall for Anything too but haven’t read anything else by Summers. I haven’t heard of Paranoid Park but am always looking for things the boys will like. Happy reading!

My mailboxes are here and here.

  4. Great list this week~I know your students will be super excited for all the great swag!

  5. Your lay-outs are very eye catching; colorful. You have a gift 🙂

I love comments!
