In My Mailbox (15)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme sponsored by The Story Siren.  It’s a way for bloggers to share what books they’ve received for review, borrowed from the library, or bought from the store.

Received for review:

Yesterday I received a copy of Dead Rules by Randy Russell (Yay!!) and Open Wounds by Joseph Lunievicz (look at the publisher’s note for the summary).  Randy’s publicist sent me his book for my Students Want to Know interview.  She sent Open Wounds because it’s a book that guys should like; the synopsis sounds pretty good.

Gae Polisner, the author of The Pull of Gravity, is incredibly generous and sent my class a ton of swag!  Each student in my YA Lit class is getting a signed bookmark, a troll, and a couple of buttons 🙂  And look at that picture–isn’t everything so cute?!  I loved Gae’s book, so I seriously recommend reading it when it comes out (May 10th).

I bought quite a few books this week, but all of them are already at school.  Why do I always forget to take a picture before taking them to school?!  I bought finished copies of Wither by Lauren DeStefano, Clarity by Kim Harrington, and Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys.  I also bought Thirsty by M.T. Anderson and Going Bovine by Libba Bray for my student who has discovered that YA is made of awesome 😀

What did you get this week?  I’d love to know!

  1. Wowey (is that a word?), you got some intense paranormal books! Clarity’s one I’m really looking forward to.
(And I feel guilty about leaving links in the comments, but here’s my IMM.)

  2. Fab reads! I really want to get Between Shades of Gray and Thirsty.
    My IMM

  3. My trip to the bookstore got me Sharon Draper’s Just Another Hero, Saundra Mitchell’s The Vespertine, and Julia Karr’s XIV–not counting the box of books I brought home from school to tackle from my TBR pile.

    • Mrs. Andersen says:

I haven’t read anything by Sharon Draper; I’ll have to look into Just Another Hero. I’m interested to know what you think of The Vespertine. I haven’t decided if I’m going to read it.

  4. I. Am. Jealousss! You always have great things in your mailbox!

I love comments!
