YA Lit Summer PD

My friend Cindy and I have created an opportunity for teachers (and any readers, really) to take an online version of my Young Adult Literature elective.  We’ve created a blog called YA Lit 101 and have the introduction to the idea/course and the book options now posted.  If you’re interested in joining us this summer, we’d love to have you participate.  It’s a great way to widen your repertoire of YA and discuss books with teachers/readers.

Also, Cindy and I had a hard time narrowing down the book choices for you, so we decided to leave that option to those interested in taking the course.  We have a poll open to narrow down the top three choices in each genre.  We also have coinciding posts for each genre which provide summaries of all the books and book trailers (if they were available to readers).

Go ahead and check out YA Lit 101 :)

Feel free to ask any questions in the comments section.  If you want to share this idea with others, we’d appreciate it if you share the YA Lit 101 syllabus post, or the site link in general, and not this post.  There’s no need to make interested people click on link after link :)  Thanks!

  1. Hi! I just finished a 2013 YA Lit List for the summer on my blog and I saw your blog post pop up on my dashboard. I really appreciate you taking the time out to put this resource and genre out there. I can’t wait to check it out!

I love comments!
